Data Analytics Projects

From Recession to Recovery: A Longitudinal Study of US Unemployment Rates, Civilian Labor Force Factors, and Future Projections

The project doesn't just show rates; it analyzes economic downturns (such as the 2008 financial crisis), the civilian labor force, and regional disparities to help policy makers

This project shows how predictive analytics transformed fleet maintenance decisions. Using 134,000 plus work orders, the analysis predicts high cost repairs early, reduces downtime, and guides repair, replace, or monitor actions to improve budgets, operations, and asset lifecycle planning.

From Clicks to Conversions: 4-Cluster Segmentation of 12K+ Sessions Achieving 99% Precision in Purchase Prediction

This project taught me that data science isn't about running algorithms—it's about asking the right questions, validating assumptions, and translating findings into business value. I now approach every project by asking: "So what? How does this change our decision?"

  • Objective:
Explored a dataset containing mental health data of 82,000+ international students to identify key factors impacting their well-being.

  • SQL Contribution:

  • Used SQL queries to clean and preprocess large datasets, ensuring accuracy and consistency for analysis.

  • Queried specific stressor-related attributes such as workload, cultural differences, and social isolation.

  • Created joins across multiple tables to unify demographic, academic, and mental health attributes.

  • Generated aggregate statistics like average stress scores per region or program using SQL functions.

  • Outcome:
Insights from SQL-powered analysis enabled stakeholders to identify critical stressors and propose actionable student wellness strategies.

SQL based Projects

Analyzing debt data collected by The World Bank

  • Objective:
Analyzed debt data collected by The World Bank to identify countries with the highest and lowest debt across various categories.

    SQL Contribution:

  • Designed and executed advanced SQL queries to extract relevant debt data by country and debt category.

  • Applied SQL GROUP BY and HAVING clauses to compute and filter total debt by region, sector, and year.

  • Utilized window functions to rank countries based on their total and per capita debt levels.

  • Generated pivoted summary tables showcasing trends in debt accumulation across developing nations.

  • Outcome:
SQL analysis provided clear comparisons of debt burdens, supporting international financial organizations in allocating aid and resources effectively.
